I’ve finished laying out and coding the new official website for Our 11th Hour. It’s integrated with Myspace and ReverbNation, and is written with the writing style of a Wikipedia page because it’s what people who view music profiles are most familiar with. Check it out at www.our11thhour.com.
I made this after spending four hours making all sorts of other designs and ultimately having nothing to show for it.

I’ve decided to add a second sidebar to the main index and single post pages of Groggie.com. I want to use this for current promotions that are going on. Right now it’s just a widget of what I’m currently listening to (Becuase I know that everyone is just dying to know), and a link to my band’s Myspace page. Eventually, I’ll probably make a widget for the Our 11th Hour show schedule with links to venues and other bands.
I removed the small advertisement at the bottom of the first sidebar, and I’m thinking about placing it at the bottom of the second sidebar, but I’m not positive yet. Who knows what else I’ll put on this additional area, and what I’ll do with it next.
If anyone has any ideas of what would be cool to put there let me know!
Here are videos of “At Nothing’s Door,” “Falling For You,” “Untitled 2,” and “11th Hour (Part II)” at The Mill in Syracuse.

I just designed what will be our full logo for Our 11th Hour (the “wings” design will remain as a little identifier). The idea was to subtly reference a clock and I wanted to use my usual minimalist style. I just really like how everything lines up; most notably the “TH” lines up with the top of the “11″ (as it would as a superscript). I really love having a finished design that is just so locked in. The previous example dictates where the rest of the type needs to go for it to work, which I think is so cool for logo design because it’s such a small area to work with.

Fantastic Contraption is a Flash game where you build machines to get a certain object to its goal. Here is a compilation of solutions to all twenty puzzles using the least amount of pieces possible.

Not sure if anyone would want to use this, but I made it for myself and figure I’d put it up anyway. It’s just a desktop wallpaper featuring the new Groggie.com logo. It’s 1440×900, and I’ll gladly make other aspect ratios if anyone actually wants one.

“Integrate the Type” has been accepted into the Art Kudos International Exhibition which begins on August 15th. It will be viewable at www.artkudos.com once the opening date arrives.

I designed this one around the lyrics of the song I wrote for Our 11th Hour with the same name.
Here are a few videos that Sally took for us during our show at Josh’s Dad’s 50th birthday party.
Breakthrough:
Posted the photos from our first show as Our 11th Hour. Thanks to Lynette for taking the pictures for us.

Finally uploaded sets for my new guitars, diploma, Grandpa’s 80th birthday, Les Miserables Opening, and my trip to Vermont.
After listening to the original for the hundreth time, I thought it would be awesome to cover this song. The solo is so fun to play. I was experimenting to see what my new guitar would sound like using a direct input instead of mic’ing the sound hole. I’m probably going to stick with the microphone, but I’m still really pleased with the sound quality.
I was featured in an online article on DeviantArt for my design “Integrate the Type.”
Just got my new electric guitar today that will complete my setup for quite a long time. I got an Agile AL-2000 with a Floyd Rose bridge from Rondo Music. That’s where I got my other electric as well. Eventually I’ll be putting a custom raised pickguard on it to complete the look of it. Another thing that I’ll upgrade down the road are the pickups; I’m thinking about an EMG 85 at the bridge, but I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet. For now it’ll stay stock.
Here’s a couple pictures:

Acoustic, DJ Groggie, Music/Audio, Photoshop2008No Comments »This is the album cover for the Musician’s Lounge compilation where song lengths are all 30 seconds max. I thought this was a neat concept for that idea.

(7/6/08 Update) Check out the thread about it on Something Awful, or click here for a direct link to the album. My songs are track six and nineteen.
I just bought what will hopefully be the last acoustic guitar I buy for a very long time. It’s a Tacoma Roadking that I got used. It’s in fantastic shape and plays like a dream! It’s got a solid sitka top and solid mahogany body which is one of the things that turned me on to it because I’ve been stuck in a composite/laminate rut for some reason. I should have some recordings of it up soon (if I can pull myself away from playing it for long enough to set up some microphones).
